Terisita’s Blog

We arrived in Sri Lanka and headed down the coast to Galle. You can see the video under Family Adventure Channel for this.

When we finished Galle we rented a car to Yala and we went on a Safari. We saw a lot of animals and the kids was so happy we spent two nights in Yala National Park.

We drove to Ella which took us 3 hours and we stopped at a beautiful waterfall and saw lots of lots of monkeys. They were so cute and friendly, the kids love them.

We then caught the train and the best railway in Sri Lanka, I loved it. My favorate part and why it is the best railway in Sri Lanka was very famous nine arch bridge. I always like to use the train in Sri Lanka because it is easy and fast and kids love it. And we  rented a car and driver for three days so we can go to elephant orphanage. It was super nice and please check our YouTube on the www.familyadventurechanel.com There and you will see why we love Sri Lanka 🇱🇰

Our drivers name was Rohit and he treated us like a family. He drove and stayed with us for three days.

Finally, we are in India. Hello Chennai, that’s our 1st destination in India and we stayed two nights and rented the Uber to Puducherry. We stayed there three nights and we just looked around what Puducherry was like. We saw lots of churches and it was so amazing and very old, like 400 to 500 years old and still beautiful.

After Puducherry we went to Kanniyakumari. If you want to see this place, please check out my personal account on Facebook Terisita Terencio. We will also have videos up of that in the Terencio Family blog soon.

We have also been teaching Sofia her home school classes in the night and looking around Kanyakumari during the day. It is at the bottom of India, as far South as you can go. We spent three nights and and we loved exploring and talking to different people.

The next day we went to Trivandrum but there was not really that much to see. We spent only two nights there, just for rest but the kids loved to stay at our hotel as it had a pool on the roof and my girls loved the swimming pool.

After two nights we took a bus going to Alleppey/Alappuzha. After two hours driving the bus broke down which was not fun for us especially since I have a wiggly two years old and that was frustrating to be honest. However after 30 minutes waiting and standing in the hot sun, they finally sent us a new bus and we continued on our journey.

We finally arrived and we stayed in the house boat, that was fun very peaceful and crew was really nice. We also went on a speedboat wth the kids.

We are now in Kochi, having spent four night here. It’s a lovely place with lovely sunset but it’s very hot. We went to Jew town, that’s actually the name of the street, nothing much here too.

We brought train tickets overnight and we going to Goa tomorrow and at the moment I pause my Blog and we will see you guys soon.

At 8am we went to the airport. Steve’s dad took us and we commuted to the Airport on the train with the kids and they had fun.

When we got to the airport, and while we waited for our 2pm flight we took care of what we needed to and finished checking in.

Then we continued to go to our gate to take off to our Singapore destination which was a stop over for 2 hours.

We then transferred planes to Colombo, the Capital City of Sri Lanka. Midnight we arrived at the Colombo airport, and I immediately took a taxi because the kids were tired for long trip. And our hotel was a hotel leaf on the lagoon in unfortunately we didn’t sleep there because no one was at the reception and our driver called and again no one answered.

Our driver immediately called a friend and found another nearby hotel. We stayed there one night. The name of the hotel was Aloesit Hotel ( 14,000 RUPIE) New New Hotel and we are the very first customers in the hotel as it was officially opening the following day.

I can say it was very nice and the owners were very friendly and had good heart. We went by train to Kalutrua South Station and stayed one night and cost us (11,000 RUPIE) and commuted again on the train to Galle and there we stayed in 2 night which I would really recommended as a nice city and nice Galle Fort to look at and walk around. So far so good my kids are doing well. Except for the food they care not used to and not eating much. And after second night in Galle we took a taxi to Yala National Park and it cost us (18,000 RUPIE) and National Park Coast (44,000 Rupie) and stay in 2 nights.
