Monday 16th June 2025 Calais – France
Hi everybody. I am so happy to talk to you again.
We are in Calais, France at the moment.
Yesterday we went on a dinosaur. 🦖 It was not a dinosaur park, but an actual dinosaur that we got to ride on. It breathed fire out of its mouth and we got to take lots of photos.
We also found and ate mulberries on a mulberry tree. They were not quite ripe yet, but they were still yummy.
But the biggest news is that I ….. finished the second Harry Potter book 📕 📖 . It was so cool and now I have just started reading the third one, the prisoner of Azkaban. I also watched the second movie, “The chamber of secrets” last night. it was just like the book. Except in the book the secret was that Ron’s brother, Percy had a secret girlfriend 🥹. But that wasn’t in the movie at all.
A few days ago I saw the Mona Lisa at the Louve in Paris. It was beautiful but very small. The painting on the wall opposite was about 100 times bigger. The other thing we did in Paris was to take a boat 🛥️ ⛵️ 🚤 ride down the river Seine and we saw the Eifel Tower and a swan 🦢 on the river.
My other favourite place was the leaning Tower of Piza. I liked the photo that Daddy made of me holding up the leaning tower. We also ate Pizza in Piza.
We also went to Lake Como in Italy. It was really, really beautiful and we saw lots of ducks 🦆 🦆 there.
Finally we are in Calais and we went to a water park and Daphne and myself got really soaked. Then we had to go home in wet clothes.

Sunday 13th April 2025 Mumbai – India
Hello everybody.
We are in Mumbai, the last place that we are going to stay in India.
It was great. The places that we have been have all been amazing.
Some of my highlights have been.
- The Taj Mahal – It was so beautiful
- The people. They have been so nice and they love it when I speak Hindi to them. They all say that I have a good Hindi Accent.
- The colour festival 👨🏻🎤🧑🎤👩🏻🎤It was so much fun getting covered in colours and learning about the funerals in Varanasi.
- The desert. It was so hot but lovely. I especially like riding the camels 🐪 🐫 at sunset. 🌅
- How different each place was. Beaches, deserts, 🏜️ Jungles, and the different styles of clothing worn by people.
- Animals. We saw cats 🐈, dogs 🐕, sheep, 🐑 camels, 🐪 cows, 🐮 monkeys, 🙈 🙊 🐵 🙉 eagles 🦅 goats, 🐐 fish, 🐟 deer, 🦌 tigers, 🐯 and elephants, 🐘
I will always remember India in my heart ❤️ for my life. The people here have been so kind and I have learned so much.
We are off to Egypt on Tuesday. I hope to see some pyramids, mummies, pharos and camels. I can’t wait to go but I will also be sad to leave. 😭

Thursday 27th March 2025 Jaipur – India
Today we woke up and did some exercise. We try to do this most mornings. We planned our day and then went to the chemist.
We have seen a lot of cows 🐮 and a lot of monkeys. 🙈 🙊 🐵 There are a lot of animals in India.
Since we last week we have been to Goa which was on the beach and I practiced my swimming in two different pools. The water was perfect and I didn’t want to get out.
Then we flew to to Vananasi which was Daphne’s 5th flight. ✈️ Then we saw a colour festival. When Daddy came back from the shops he was covered in colour.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 So we went out and got colours 👩🏻🎤🧑🎤👨🏻🎤splashed all over us and did dancing with the locals.
The next day we walked by the river and went out on a boat. We saw how the Indian people did funerals. They burn the bodies and then they throw the body parts in the river. I saw them do this and didn’t want to touch the river after this. Daphne put her hand in the over though.
Next we went to Agra. Our apartment was called Ansel Emerald Heights. It had a playground a swimming pool with no water in it so we couldn’t go for a swim. Then we went to….. the Taj Mahal. It was beautiful. We went inside and saw the tomb of the 🤴 King and 👸 Queen. It was one of the most beautiful building that I have ever seen.
Next day we went and saw the fort that looked over the Taj Mahal.
Then we went to Delhi and it had 33 million people living there. It was very dirty so I don’t know if I could survive there. There was a lot of poor people there asking for money. They were all scammers. When I gave them money they didn’t say “thank you”, they just said “more?”
Now we are in Jaipur. It is way better and we are staying in a nice hotel. I have been doing school with mommy, learning about planets, the states of Australia, maths and languages.

Saturday 8th March 2025 Kochi – India
We are having lots of adventures. One day in India I ate pancakes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. 🥞🥞🥞🥞🥞. Yesterday we saw someone’s backbone that had washed up on the beach. We took lots of photos of me holding the sunset. 🌅. Then we went to a nice restaurant to get dinner.
Traveling is so good. As we travel I see how lucky I am. I have been reading the Harry Potter book and the Philosopher’s stone. It’s a very good book to read 👍but Daphne always intrupts me when I read. 😠I always have to tell her to be quiet.📖🤫 The other day we slept on a houseboat for one night and went all around the waterways in a speedboat. It was really fast and we had to hold on really tight. It was a lot of fun though. So saw lots of monkeys in Sri Lanka but now that we are in India we are seeing lots of cows 🐄 , dogs 🐕 and cats. 🐈⬛ as well as goats 🐐. In India we made a lot of friends as I play with all the local kids that we meet. We are spending two months in India and so far we have been here about two weeks. Tomorrow we take a train to Goa and then we will fly to Northern India and see what is there. There is lots of playgrounds here to play on. I love the swings and Daphne love ❤️ loves the swings. My favourite thing is all the pools to swim in.🏊♀️ Me and Daphne love the pools.
We have also made some videos for my class which is grade Two back in Brisbane.
I miss them all a lot.

Sunday 9th Feb 2025 – Yala National Park
Today we are in Yale National Park. We are already starting to travel and I am very happy.
We woke up in the middle of the night, and we went in a big land drover to go on safari. By the time we got there it was morning and we saw lots of animals.
We say a fox, then lots and lots of deer, water buffalo, monkeys, peacocks, crocodiles, snakes, lots of cool birds and even three elephants. We also saw a warthog alone.
We rode Tuk Tuk’s into town when we came back to our Hotel.
I made a new friends on the way. When we were having lunch I played with one little girl and we played a bottle cap game where we sorted all the caps into colours.
We had ice cream and we had to eat it very quickly as it melted in the sun. (It was a quick ice cream melt.)
I did some study with mum, I read my Harry Potter book and then I did my blog as I have not done one yet while travelling.
The best part of my day was……seeing three elephants on the road. Two of the elephants were walking towards me and came and checked my sister and me out. I saw Daphne pat one of the elephants on the trunk.

Sunday 26th Jan 2025 (Australia Day)
Today was Australia Day. We didn’t do too much to celebrate it but it was still a fun day. Two of my best friends have birthdays this week, so I wrote birthday cards and wrapped their presents for tomorrow’s party. It is at a waterpark so it should be amazing as it really hot in Brisbane at the moment.
The most fun today was when Dady took me to the Hyperdome and went on the trampolines there. We got there just as they were starting to pack up for the end of the school holidays. I was the very last customer. They will not be back until the next school holidays in about ten weeks.
I did a couple of double flips which was so much fun. all the shops were starting to close when we were finished on the trampolines. We listened to some cool music in the car on the way home.
Tomorrow is my Dad’s birthday and then it is my birthday three day after that. I can’t wait! Then I will be allowed to sit in the front seat.
My parents and I are talking about what I am going to get for my birthday. But no toys as everything is getting packed up.

Here’s what happened today.
We went and had lunch at my friend Henry’s house. We made yummy pizzas from scratch and pavlovas. We pranked Henry’s sister, Amelia and my sister Daphne a lot. We did a lot of dancing with “Just Dance”too.
In Henry’s backyard there was a water dragon that was called Larry the Lizard. He kept running away from us, especially Daphne, when she tried to feed it Limes.
I think that Dat Dat’s favourite part was shooting Henry with the toy gun and running up and down the stairs.
We walked home and Daphne was a little grumpy. She was very tired. 😴 🥱.
Today was a great day and we had lots of fun. 🤩

Hi my name is Sofia and I am looking forward to our trip around the world. My most forward to visiting France and in Paris in particular. When I am there I promise that I am going to have a croissant. I love that my dad let us go all around the world 🌍. I think Daphne is going to have a lot of fun with the family.
I am going back to school in two week, but only for four days. It will be great to see my friends again because I missed them over the school holidays. I am going to miss them and I wish that they could come with us. I am going to miss them around the world but I am sure that I will make new friends as I will go around the world.
I can’t believe that is only 19 days until we go.
